According to the Arab, God first created the mare, and then the stallion. In creating the mare, God spoke to the south wind: "I will create for you a being which will be a happiness to the good, and a misfortune to the bad. Happiness shall be on its forehead, bounty on its back and joy in its possessor."

Well here we go again, Mom and me are in the limo and going someplace. I get my own stall now and ride like a big boy,
instead of in a box stall like a baby.

Aunt Marie put some stuff on me like Uncle Les did, except she didn't tie me up. I just stood there and let her put it on.

There were no nasty side reins or over checks, so I can stretch dooowwwwn if I want!!!

.. and learn to bend.  I like Aunt Marie.

Grandma took us to Aunt Marie's. I got put in this Round Pen thing. I have a feeling this isn't going to be good.

  I AM TWO!

I know it's been a long time since I've written, but that's 'cuz my mean Grandma put me in Jail for two months. I learned alot about something called Manners. I found out that if I don't Mind My Manners then I get in trouble. Phew! I'm glad I'm home and back with Mom. Now I just lie around and play all day.

Grandma and Uncle Mario did a terrible thing to me and Mom yesterday. It was sunny and warm out and they dragged out that long green thing that squirts cold water and they got us both wet with it! Then they rubbed us all over with some girly-smelling stuff and pointed the green thing at us again to get it off. Now I smell like a fruitcake and my tail is all fluffy. Mom already rolled in the mud to fix hers. Oh, and the Mean Man With The Needles was here too. I tried to bite him but Grandma reminded me to Mind My Manners. He made my neck hurt on both sides.  I didn't let him get near my hiney though.

Mom got to ride in the limo today. Grandma played hookey and took Mom to The Park. I had to stay in my room while they were gone! Mom said they rode for three hours. She was tired when she got back. Mom's gotten all fat and lazy this winter. So has Grandma. All they did all winter was eat and once in a while go for a walk around the neighborhood. The Limo was snowed in and then we had so much mud! Grandma didn't want the Limo to roll in it like me and Mom.

Well, time to go eat my birthday carrots!

My, was I surprised when Uncle Les hung all this stuff on me.

I wonder what comes next..

Ryan is sent to the trainer! -- There comes a time in every baby horse's life when he has to start acting grown up. For our young lad Ryan, That day was FEBRUARY 3, 2005, when he went off to sleep-away camp at his Uncle Les's. Read Ryan's letter from camp here.
